This gentleman (video below) has been leading a campaign to make a Wonder Woman movie happen. With Christina Hendricks in the lead role. To be honest, I’ve never see Hendricks in anything so I have no idea about her acting skills. She does have the physical presence for the role but seems a little on the short side to play the Amazon goddess. Nothing the right footwear can’t fix. Watch the video in which writer, director Nicolas Winding Refn describes why he thinks Hendricks is perfect for the role of a potential Wonder Woman movie.
It’s a shame Gina Carano can’t act, because she’s just about perfect physically to pull off Wonder Woman.
Bridget Regan would be my choice. Good actress, did plenty of convincing stuntwork and fight choreography on Legend of the Seeker, and if she put on some muscle she’d look the part just fine.
Megan Gale was a prospect for a while and her physical appearance as well as screen presence was quite striking and well-suited to the WW role.
I choose Cate Blanchett to play Hypolitta.
