Synopsis:  This issue continues Elektra’s attempt at escape from H.A.M.M.E.R. custody after a botched hit on her life reveals there to be an 82 million dollar bounty on her head.  There is a pretty sweet sequence of action, where Elektra uses a device she stole off an agent that controls the facility to engage the extinguishers to provider her cover.  After killing all the agents she pursues the remaining agent by jumping off the H.A.M.M.E.R. helicarrier, and takes his parachute in mid-air.  Back in New York  we are shown what appears to be a red headed brother and sister duo that plan on continuing the failed attempt on Elektra’s life.  There is a great scene after this where Elektra breaks into Murdock’s law office and runs into Foggy Nelson.  She is shown digging around the office until she finds a med kit to treat her wounds, but soon passes out while mumbling clues her would be assassin revealed during his attempt, “The stars are safe in the sky.”  I assume she goes there naturally to try and find Matt to help her out, while she is in this vulnerable state.  After that we see that Norman Osborn is recruiting Bullseye to go after Elektra with permission to kill her, which of course is very happy news to him!

Review:  I am really happy that Marvel is taking time to bring Elektra back into the spotlight after the whole SI deal.  The action was great in this issue.  I loved the cocky H.A.M.M.E.R. agent who totally underestimates Elektra’s superior fighting skills even when she is fatally wounded.  Not sure what I think yet about Bullseye being recruited to go after yet another major hero (he is soon to be hunting down Deadpool in his new ongoing).  We’ll see how this works out before I cast any judgement.  I assume we will be seeing Matt teaming up with Elektra in some form, since she stumbles into his law office at the end of the issue.  It should be fun seeing them together again.  I thought the interior art worked well with the story, and I like the detail Mann does on his character’s facial expressions. Really didn’t care for this cover…I think Lee made her face and upper torso look really manly!
