I’m not really sure why I got this series. I really like the art, though it’s probably too cartoony for most. The story is pretty good for adults and younger kids to read together, so maybe I’m just preparing a small stash when that time comes 🙂

It’s about a struggle between the Stuffed Animal Kingdom and the devious Beasties that seek to eat children. Like I said, pretty cool for both generations. It’s pretty straightforward, so there’s nothing to get in an uproar about, but a solid comic nonetheless.

This issue has the Bear King imprisoned and betrayed by his own brother, who is in league with the Beasties, looking to take over the throne of the Crystal Palace. He is then betrayed by the leader of the Beasties, while the Night Pride (a lion, tiger, panther and white tiger), two children and a member of the Polar Bear Guard make their way to the Crystal Palace to free the King and the other children.
