More DC animated shows coming to Cartoon Network? (UPDATED with promo trailer)
Nov 12, 2011 by     5 Comments    Posted In: News

Geoff Johns tweeted about this just now stating that the Cartoon Network was going to feature an entire block of DC related cartoons under the title Cartoon Network? What could this mean? Besides the Green Lantern the animated series coming next week I know of no shows currently in production. Read the tweet (AND SEE THE PROMO TRAILER)below

What shows could this include? Let’s speculate rampantly!
Stay tuned to this blog. As soon as we know more we will let you know.

UPDATE: So some of the existing shows will be scheduled together but animated shorts will be added as well as featurettes. One of the featurettes previewed was a behind the scenes look at comic artists Cully Hamner.

So what do we think?

Not necessarily new shows. They have Young Justice, Batman Brave and the Bold, and I think they still run Teen Titans. Still sounds interesting lets see if they announce some new shows.

I don’t usually watch CN but I might just have to flip the channel to see what they put on. I hope they dont kid it up to much. TT style would be fine anything less and I probably wont watch it.

This could be really good, or really bad…I can’t decide which is more likely. DC runs hot and cold with pretty much everything…I mean, look how awesome Young Justice looks (art-wise), then look at the previews for the new Green Lantern show.

There’s a new Batman series planned for 2013 called “Beware the Batman” featuring Katana as his sidekick and a young gun-slingin’ Alfred. It’s supposed to be CGI, and the artwork looks…let’s say “unique.”

@Andrew: Gimme that good old fashioned hand drawn animation style any day.
