Flashpoint #2 – DC Comics $3.99

We get a closer look at Europe and the pressing dangers this new reality has brought about. We also get more details about why and how this reality has been altered. Barry attempts to regain his powers in order to fix this upside world. Will he succeed or fail miserably? That’s a hint as to how the book ends. Additionally, this book’s historical significance is likely to increase due to DC’s latest big announcement. 8/10

Traci 13World Of Flashpoint #1 (of 3) – DC Comics $2.99

This story features a character I think I never even heard about, Traci 13. She is an european magician in the post Flashpoint world. The great flooding of Paris kills her mother. Traci and her father blame themselves for it and are motivated to try to stop the war in Europe. They go about it in very different ways resulting in a dramatic clash of ideals. Can there be too high a price to achieve peace and security? The cart loses points for drawing a 15 year old girl with huge bosoms. *clears throat* 7/10

S.H.I.E.L.D. Vol. 2 #1 – Marvel Comics $3.99

The only Marvel comic I’m reading currently and a good one at that. This issue keeps playing it’s cerebral tune. In the war between Fate and Free Will is there a third option? One to consolidate both factions? Michaelangelo acts as Leonid and Da Vinci’s mentor in this issue. Leonid seems to be poised to become the representative for the third option. Does any of this make sense to you? You might want to pick up Vol. 1 before reading this. 8/10

Wonder Woman #611 – DC Comics $2.99

Wonder Woman by Josh MiddletonTo my great delight Joshua Middleton is the new cover artist! 611 is a satisfying conflict at the Morrigan’s base of operation. The triple god head is now short of one member. Suddenly, thanks to Giganta – now a convert to Diana’s cause – the Morrigan are short two. We briefly encounter the villain behind Diana’s confusion. The villain is apparently female. She pierces Wonder Woman’s side with a sword which triggers a vision of Diana’s fate to become part of the Morrigan. If the Amazon Princess does not prevent this she will do something terrible. The changes in this story are not likely to stick post-flashpoint but the ride is enjoyable nonetheless. 8/10
