Welcome to Episode #18! It was a light week in news so not a whole lot of discussion there, but when Matt and Neil dip into the back issue bin they pull out two gems! Speaking of “gems,” Neil tells Matt he must read The Thanos Quest which was a two part book (50 pages each) that led into the famous Infinity Gauntlet in the early 90’s. Written by Jim Starlin and drawn by Ron Lim. This turns out to be an amazing read full of cosmic goodness. Matt likes the title so much he’s going to go out and buy the Infinity Gauntlet to continue the story. Before that, Matt has Neil pick up a 5 part Deadshot mini-series which DC Comics put out back in 2005. This turns out to be a favorite for Neil as well, and he thinks this is as good as the Gail Simone Secret Six run in terms of getting the Deadshot character right. This one is written by Christos M. Gage and drawn by Steven Cummings and inked by Jimmy Palmiotti. Both books are well received by the guys and get very high marks and recommendations.
