StashMyComics.com Ape4Comics Podcast: Episode #9
Jan 23, 2013 by     3 Comments    Posted In: Podcast

Episode #9 strays a bit from the previous Ape4Comics format. The guys have a lot of stuff to talk about so “Comic Swap” is shelved this week in favor of “Comic Talk”. A couple of books are covered in detail including the final issue of Marvel’s Uncanny X-Force #35 ending Rick Remender’s spectacular run. Neil is thinking about dropping Marvel’s Thunderbolts written by Daniel Way after issue #2. Matt vows to give it at least 6 issues. Also mentioned is the great Shazam backup story in Justice League which is now up to issue #15. Matt actually makes a DC purchase and is digging the Justice League title in general. Special Feature is all about Marvel and DC drama covering Superior Spider-Man and DC’s Gail Simone fiasco. Matt and Neil also discuss the continued mistreatment of Cyclops by all.

  • (3:17) Comic Talk – Matt and Neil talk about stuff. Uncanny X-Force #35, Thunderbolts #2 and more…
  • (20:22) Special Feature: Marvel and DC drama!

Thank you guys for a great podcast. I have listened to every episode and enjoy it tremendously. Gets me through my work days. Have you thought of reviewing something from the 80’s? Like maybe Starslayer or Red Circle’s The Shield? I have gone and ordered a bunch of the stuff you guys have recommended. I do not have a local comic store here in Maine so I have to do all my ordering online. Most of what I order is older stuff but I do enjoy hearing spoilers on new stuff. Keep up the great work and thanks again for a great show.
