When I was in my early twenties, the house I lived in had Gran Turismo tournaments all the time.  We went so far as to make a trophy and you could challenge the current champion at ANY time.  It got pretty competative!

I played the demo of Resident Evil Revelations on the 3DS yesterday.

Wow. It looked and played pretty much like Resident Evil 5 (the best graphics I've seen on a handheld so far, I think), but had a feel more like the classic games, with a more horror style. I wasn't initially in a rush to get it as I'm hard up for cash at the moment, but I'll definitely be picking up as soon as I can afford it.

Loved the Resident Evil 6 trailer. Again, looks like Resident Evil 5 but even better action and hopefully more horror. I hope they take a leaf out of Revelations' book on some areas of the game.

I keep meaning to go and fill in the gaps really.. but after playing the RE1 remake, RE2 looked really poor haha. May have to go back to the series sometime soon, before RE6 is out, at least.

I'm playing Resident Evil 2 now, seeing as Operation Raccoon City is out in March - which is set at the same time in the timeline. Got a lot of Resident Evil in the pipeline over the next couple of months, as I'll be working on RE2 and RE3, as well as Revelations and Raccoon City.

And I intend to play Final Fantasy XIII-2 as well

I assume you mean IX (9)? XI was an MMO ;)

I didn't love the battle system in XIII, nor the linearity of the game - following a path watching cutscenes and fighting boring battles didn't thrill me even though I did complete it.

While XIII-2 keeps very much the same battle system, there are some tweaks that make it slightly more bearable, and the world looks a lot more free to explore which appeals to me a lot.

Anyway - better get working on Resi 2 as I've got 2 days till Revelations is out!

See, X is one of my favourites, and XIII is my least favourite.

But I think the reason for this is because the game isn't quite so linear, in an obvious way. I know the game consists of one path, but there are still dungeons and towns which give you a little freedom - it feels as free as it should be, for someone walking a pilgrimage. Of course, there's also the airship to consider, seeing as you can revisit old places for new things.

But then, I loved X's battle system, so it instantly beats XIII by far in my eyes. Cannot wait for the HD PS3 and portable Vita versions! I hope they do X-2 as well - while it had it's flaws, I still liked the game a lot, especially the old-school job system that they modernised.

I love all of the PS1 and PS2 titles, XIII was just far too linear to me, and offered little else but battle - I enjoy puzzles, exploration and also the side-games that have been included in the past (card games, Blitzball).

I do own the entire numbered series, although I have yet to finish IV and V. Beaten the rest, though (ignoring XI which I hate being included as a numbered title)
