I've been lurking around SMC for a bit and figure this subject was brought up before, but can't seem to find it in the forum. When I first started using SMC, I created a stash of just 'owned'. I know this is kind of redundant what with the wish list function (under which I use more differentiation, ironically(, but when I just feeling the place out, it seemed like it made some overly simplistic sense. As I've added more to my stash, I've begun pondering how to use the stash categories in a more useful way. One obvious way is to categorize according to comic book era, but I'm wondering what others around here use? I suppose genre and publisher are also possibilities, but what do YOU use? |

ago, so "Digital - DC Comics" is separate from "Print - DC Comics," even though there's some overlap between the two. |

one stash, but I guess tags could also be used for that sort of function, too. I'm guessing that having the same issue in more than one stash would kill some of the stash total calculations, especially that concerning how much the issues are worth. |

I stash mine by character/ group. If there isn't enough of them they get shoved in a publisher general stash. I.E I have a lot of Teen / Team Titans stuff so they get their own category, but I only have one series of Rez Man so he goes into the Misc DC category!
