Fantastic story, amazing art, and the fact that they tie together is an added bonus! I'm really starting to become a fan of Jeff Lemire. (I also love Sweet Tooth.) __________________ please take a moment to check out my podcast • www.twoaveragedicks.com • @twoaveragedicks on twitter |

I'm gunning for the trades when (if they're not out already) they come out. __________________ Public Relations/Coordination Manager here at SMC. I also do reviews! They essentially ended it and then went "no wait! That wasn't the real bad guy. THIS is the real bad guy and he's more powerful than the other guy you just defeated." |

flip-side... Swamp Thing has been only okay for me. Still worth buying, and I guess it's hard to pinpoint the reason for my mediocre reception of the book. I'm bummed to hear that the Animal Man artist is leaving for another book, though. Hope the replacement fits the book. |

It's definitely something I need to catch up with. __________________ I like comics and webcomics. You should too. I do "Comics for Noobs" on the blog here. Twitter:@LFLJ Email:leoflj91@gmail.com |

initial list of titles to get from the new 52. __________________ Skype:michael.meador85 Twitter:@Threeshotwonder PSN:Threeshotwonder |

Newbie![]() Joined: 05 December 2012 | Along with Batman, these are the 2 standout books in the New 52 Universe. Swamp Thing and Animal Man are like a one-two punch of weird, cool, and creepy, and, having been onboard since they both relaunched, they are at the top of the pile when new comics make their way to my doorstep. Lemire and Snyder have been working together on these books from the beginning, having traded ideas and concepts leading up to Rotworld. They make these two books feel like they were woven from the same thread, and reading them as they come out is a blast. Kudos to them for figuring out how to get DC to let them take the reigns and run with it- if you haven't read these books yet, go get them all. And enjoy them. |

Newbie![]() ![]() Joined: 01 October 2011 | I started reading Swamp Thing really with the idea that I'd put to rest the notion that anyone could do anything with it after Alan Moore's run, but didn't follow Animal Man, because I've never been a big Animal Man fan. The first arc of Swamp Thing has been surprisingly good, and the Rot makes a better, more sweeping crossover than either of the Batman crossovers. I finally picked up Vol 1 of Animal Man, because everything I kept hearing, and yes, it's also really good, maybe even better than Swamp Thing. __________________ Usurping thrones one toilet at a time. |
