So how did you start collecting?
When I was eleven or twelve I would stop at the 7/11 on my way to school and spend my lunch money on Daredevil comics and the magazine sized Conans (which I was way to young to buy
but the guy behind the counter didn't seem to care. Even sold me Heavy Metal Magazines occasionally).

How many comics are in collection approximately?
1698 and growing weekly. It appears a lot of locals have been selling their collections to LCS or resale shops so I'm having a field day.

What do you like to collect?
I collect everything but I'm really enjoying the small press or independents. Marvel and started seriously on DC after the 52 release. Now I'm filling back stock of JLA/JSA.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Daredevil. He is the battered step child of Marvel. I love his never quit tenacity and it inspired me when I was young and going through a mess of things (Divorce, bad/abusive
step-dads, school bullies, etc...). No matter how bad things got he always pulled through and didn't sell himself out.

So how did you start collecting?
I inherited a small collection that my Father had of Charlton and Gold Key, Archie, etc. I started collecting because every time my parents went into town, I got to buy a comic. I usually chose Spider-man, but sometimes I chose a Batman or Scrooge McDuck (Carl Barks). I still have them all, but they're in pretty bad condition from having been read so many times. I subscribed to Spider-man for awhile, but quite because the subscription service was terrible and I disliked the new artist. Then I thought I quit collecting for awhile. It may have felt that way, but it turned out I quit collecting major publishers and started looking for independents (like Jeff Smith's Bone, etc.). Eventually I drifted back to mainstream, mostly DC. I had a respectable collection, but got tired of keeping up with issues and switched to trades for series like Walking Dead, Fables and so on.

Two things happened in the past few years: One, my Uncle passed away and left me his collection, which was much bigger than mine. Actually, I had to go rescue it before the executor sold it off. It was also why I found Stash My Comics, so I could figure out what to sell and what to keep and get everything organized. It's been a labor of love. Two, the DC reboot, which I've really enjoyed and it brought me back into my local comic stores once again.

How many comics are in collection approximately?
I have two boxes of "to sell" items, but according to the SMC numbers I have 13528.

What do you like to collect?
I'm still collecting Walking Dead in trades, and Hack/Slash in trades, but I've been collecting a few of the New 52 titles and other occasional items such as BPRD mini's and Revival.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Spider-man, Batman, X-men (I think).

How did you start collecting?

I was around 5 or so. When I started reading comic books. It started with X-men and Archie. I mostly got trades but still got some regular comic books. Around 15 I was encouraged to "grow up" and I
put all my comic in the attic. (Thank God I didn't destroy or sell them.)
About 3 1/2 years ago I saw that their was a local comic shop close to my house. I walked in and started talking with the employees and owner (awesome people at Titan Comics in Dallas Texas). I
realized I still loved and missed collecting and got back into it. The people at Titan were awesome and very supportive of me.

Comic in my collection?

Somewhere between 3000-4000.

What do you like to collect?

X-titles, and I've been getting more and more into image and other series outside the giant DC / Marvel universe.

What title / character is found most in your collection?

Deadpool, Generation Next and a whole lot of lantern stuff.

So how did you start collecting?
Started collecting when my dad bought me 4 comics Spider-man, Iron Man, and Batman. I flunked the 2nd grade because my family was bilingual and my reading and writing skills didn't measure up. My old man made me read the books then tell him what they were about. It helped and I've been collecting every since.

How many comics are in collection approximately?
Well I never really counted them. I am using stashmycomics.com to record them. I started last week about halfway through my collection and I'm just over 3000.
What do you like to collect?
I like to collect a little of everything I read it on the shelf if it sounds interested or one of my favorite characters I may just by it and not buy for awhile. Does have a tendency to leave holes in my collection.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
not sure only up to 3000 that's 6 boxes I have about six more. I will update later.

So how did you start collecting?
- Well, to be honest, I never collected comics before. I was yard sale-ing and came across a bin of comics. I figured there may be some good ones in the pile and offered a deal. Now I
am just researching ways to catalogue them and find their worth. I started on a different site but after I got to 50 comics, it wanted me to pay for a subscription. I'm hoping that this
site proves better.

How many comics are in collection approximately?
- About 250

What do you like to collect?
- Nothing specific

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
- Mostly spiderman, she-hulk and punisher

So anything that you guys can do to help me, great. :D

Hi, I'm new here; obviously. So hi all! Not sure how often I'll post or be active on the forums to be honest.

I started collecting on and off, about 13 years ago. Very casually but I'm starting to take my collecting a bit more serious now, which is a bit of a kick in the teeth considering the amount of stuff I've missed out on now!

How many comics are in collection approximately?
I've probably got about 150 comics in my collection, I did have the first 40 issues of TWD for the start, but the ex took them when we broke up. Gutted.

What do you like to collect?
Nothing specific really, there's certain things I like are BM, GL, X-Men to name a few things.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Probably X-men.

Also, I have an issue, I have some 90s X-men stuff but can't actually find it in the search function, where abouts in the forum do I post about that?

Thanks, and hi again!

Yes, the UPC code by the bar code. It's usually below the barcode, or the ISBN number. Which ever your comic has.

I've never had to explain that before. UPC Code

Single comics are catalogued as UPC. Books, HC, Tps, etc are catalogued as ISBN.

When I was around 10 or 11, I was really into Sonic the Hedgehog, and Archie Comics had a Sonic comic. I subscribed to it for a year or so, then stopped. Then quite a few years later the New Amazing Spider-man movie came out and I went to see it with my grandmother I decided I should try some other comics beside "SONIC" So that's pretty much how I started collecting comics

How many comics are in collection approximately?
372, Soon to increase tomorrow (LCS is having a huge sale tomorrow I've been saving for it for months)

What do you like to collect?
Hulk, Spider-man, Deadpool, Batman

Which title/character is most found in your collection?

So how did you start collecting?
I was about 4 years old when I got my first Read and Listen comic and record. It was Batman Stacked cards by Neal Adams. I had a few comics
here and there until 1982 when G.I.Joe hit. It started me collecting on a regular basis. I had 20 long boxes of books and then went through
tough times. I sold some, had a fire, store some in a leaky shed. I managed to save about 2 of my boxes and swore off comics. Then one night
I was waiting on a friend to go out and he had preacher sitting on his table so I read it while waiting. I was right back into collecting.
When preacher ended I followed up with Daredevil and have been collecting ever since.

How many comics are in collection approximately?
I had about 5000 at the height of my collecting. But after everything happened I had to start over. I am at about 2000 right now but 1000 are
crap that I want to unload so I can focus on completing the titles I collect.

What do you like to collect?
My collection consist of Daredevil, G.I.Joe, and Wonder Woman Vol.2. The rest are getting sold off so I can collect my silver age DD's.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
If you haven't figured it out by now it's Daredevil. I have from 158 (first Frank Miller) to Vol.3 in a row missing about 30 books from
vol.1. I will have those 30 by the end of the year and then I move on to collecting 1-157 from Vol.1. DD is my passion when it comes to
comics.

So how did you start collecting?
Started collecting when I was in 5th grade (1988)...long time ago. Heavy collector up until college. Didn't have the resources to continue
collecting and got away from it for far too long. Started picking up some books at a local comic store a couple months ago. Still feeling my way
around
what to read. There are so many more options now than I remember.

How many comics are in collection approximately?
Probably 1500~2000. I have 9 long boxes stored in my office.

What do you like to collect?
Mostly Marvel. Silver Surfer was/is my favorite followed by the New Mutants, X-Men, Spider-man and the Avengers.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Silver Surfer and X-Men
Although it doesn't show in my "stash" yet because I've only had time to catalog two of my boxes.

I have a few other questions.

Is there a bar code scanner that is compatible with the site?
Batch add function?

Will these be available on the app?
It would be nice to scan from my android to check my stash, or to add.

any barcode scanner that can read a upc is compatible with the site, even something as cheap as a cuecat will work.
there is a quick stash feature in My Stash which lets you stash using the upc very quickly.

last checked non of the phone barcode scanners were able to scan a double upc barcode which is used in comics, so can't use the phone as a
batcode scanner.

So how did you start collecting?
By stealing issues out of my uncles comic drawer as a kid. Later, by stopping by 7-11 on my way home from school. I didn't know LCS even existed until I was in my 20's. :-/

How many comics are in collection approximately?
850

What do you like to collect?
I'm less inclined to specific titles (though Adventure Time is ringing my bell) and tend to follow artists: My number 1: Sergio Aragones, followed by Scott Shaw, Scottie Young, David Petersen, Katie Cook, Ditko, Romita, Kirby, John Romita, Walt Simonson...) and writers. Though historically, I was a Spider-
man, G.I. Joe fan.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Groo followed by Spidey

So how did you start collecting?
I started collecting around 4 years ago, after an artist I admire said he collects comics as references, so I went to the first comic shop I found and bought a bunch of old $1 comics..then my
interest died for some forgotten reason. Until I got a job, bought a few Aliens comics, and boom, got a full-time job at the age of 16 and started spending at least $50 on comics a week, if not
more - it became an obsession for a short while.

How many comics are in your collection approximately?
Rough count is 515, with a few doubles added on top. Continuously increasing - especially when the store I go to has their 'top floor-back issue' floor open when I have spare money to spend.

What do you like to collect?
First, I'm mainly a DC Girl. But will still buy a few Marvel issues every now and then. Anything my favourite artists have a hand in. I'm not picky, if I like the style and the rough run down of it, I
will buy the first couple of issues.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?
Easily Catwoman and Deadpool. I only found out about Deadpool mid-last year, and he has just become my 'go-to-comic' whenever I want a laugh. Catwoman has always topped my list. First
read Gotham City Sirens and now collecting her current solo comic, also looking into purchasing old 90s issues.
Great Scott!

Haha thank you, and yes, it seems to be my name for everything now. I can't quite remember as it was 4 years ago and my interest in other artists' has blossomed into quite a variety, but he was
definitely big in the industry..but that hardly narrows it, haha.

Hello Good People

So how did you start collecting?

I've collected on and off over the years. First of all I think it was when I was about 15, 16 and I saw comics in the newsagent and thought, I can buy these with my own money now. Got, very quickly, into Vertigo at its peek - Sandman, Shade the Changing Man, etc. Went off the boil for a few years and then starting collecting DC comics, inspired by the Bruce Timm Universe. Starting again, mainly because my curiosity has been re-ignited by my 7 year old stepson.

How many comics are in collection approximately?

Only about 30 now. I got rid of a lot many moons ago. But kept hold of a few early Black Panthers and just the odd thing I've found here and there. A Jack Kirby 2001 Space Odyssey mag that I bought for about 20p being a fave.

Which title/character is most found in your collection?

At the moment, Spider-man. I'm looking to collect marvel stuff from the sixties and seventies. But mainly reprints to save on the bank balance. Thinking about seriously collecting the Doom Patrol though. Original series of course...

Thanks for listening....
