@Igor
Tried the Google search to help out the site, couldn't find either you mentioned. Are you talking about regular Google search page, or if someone uses Google Chrome browser. On Google search that I tried, all I got was a magnifying glass to show preview of the site.

SAme here, I'm thinking you're right. It's probably a google chrome thing.

no, its not a chrome thing. im on chrome now and its not
showing up for me either, but at work using internet
explorer its always popping up. a lot of it has to do with
which google server you end up on and it takes them time to
get it out everywhere. especially if its something new and
they are still testing.

just found some more info. you have to have a google
account and be logged in. its also in limited testing at
the moment.

Hi guys, like most of you I was just googling because simple pen and paper were gettin old. I've been collecting off an on for 2 an a half decades now, an I'm very glad to find something as easy and useful to use at Stash. I'm still gettin all my stuff loaded in, its an uphill battle, but you guys make it easier. I'm completely happy with the site and everything it has to offer. The only thing right now that I could think would be cool is a map showing where (or region) the members are. It ties into a thread I wanna start on finding good comic stores in your area. Anyway thx guys, great work!

Grade comic shops? Hmmm...I'm curious to see who's visited
the most comic shops! I've been to...six? Seven?

...seems like more than that, lol.

I've tried other sites, but by far this is the greatest and
easiest one ...I found it by typing comic databases
or something like that

I found this site by googling "Comic book organization." I like referring to comicspriceguide.com to gauge the value of my comics, but its "stash" feature only allows a user to stash 50 comics for free. Once I exceeded, 50, they ask you to pay!

I really enjoy how the stash feature on this site allows users to go through their comics in list view or cover gallery view. The cover gallery feature makes it easier to tell which variant cover I own.

Thanks again!

Yeah, free is a great feature isn't it?

New user here but I found this site from Yahoo answers. Of all the places. :)
But I was using a Excel spreadsheet for my stuff. It got to the point in which
it took too much of my time. So far I'm enjoying this site.

Welcome, azxc! I'm sure the more you use it the more you'll enjoy it. And on top of that, you'll have extra time on your hands to post on the forums more.

Yeah, welcome aboard! I've been at this site a few years now and I'm still discovering new features now! And there's even a wishlist in the forum where you can suggest things to the site admin and he often gets around to implementing the suggestions.

You can also find StasMyComics.com on facebook where all sorts of comic book news is fed regularly, if you're into that kind of thing...

That is totally what I was doing too!!  This site has been a huge help in keeping track of my books.  Excel was a headache, especially for as many books as I had to keep track of!  Welcome Azxc, glad to have you!

I see from your public stash that you've collected Carbon Grey with all the variants! Nice get! Looks like we have some taste in common. :)

StashMyComics interviewed the creator of Carbon Grey if you're interested. Here's the link: http://www.stashmycomics.com/blog/?p=1179

Thanks guys.

Any ideas of how to add comics to the database? I've got some stuff that's
not showing when I type it in the search. Thanks in advance.

Yes! When you log into your stash, look in the "quick links" section and click "submit new issues/series"

From there you can add to the database. And the more you help the database grow the more points you collect to buy tickets in giveaways.

Hi, I inherited a large collection of comic books from my father and grandfather about a year ago.  I was trying to find a way to figure out what exactly was in their collection and be able to search through it.  I goggled something like comic book cataloging and found this site.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the inheritance. Have fun discovering all these books!

Welcome Bub! I know you'll find this site very helpful.
How many comics would you estimate are in your collection, and when are they mostly from?

Thanks for the welcome. I have 8 long boxes and 5 smaller ones. My grandfather started when he was a kid so they go back to the 40's.

Nice! Gotta be some cool stuff in there!

Sweet! If you decide to make your stash public, it will be interesting to see some of the issues you have.Mine goes back to the 50's with only a couple of oddballs from the 40's.

I found this site out of frustration, lol.

I had taken the time to sort and price all of my issues on my computer.  Hours and hours I poured into that, only to have the file get erased.  Frustrated as hell, I started typing different things into the search engine, trying to find a site where I could sort my books and keep track of prices.

I think I searched for twenty minutes before stumbling onto this site.  I was leary at first, because all the other sites wanted to charge me, and I was not going to do that.

I checked the site out and the rest is history.  I told one of my friends about it, and he is now on here, oragnizing his books too, lol.

I finally made it through a few boxes. So far it has been Spider-Man.

How early does your Spider-man go?  issue #?

Wow!  Is it "Amazing Spider-Man" or just "Spider-Man?"
