Reading this out of context of whatvever the Darkseid War is I was hoping for an engaging Lex Luthor story. This was a decent exploration of what makes the man so stubborn and self-reliant--daddy issues at the core of it all. The ending struck my curiosity to see what happens next, but not enough to seek out the other issues or TPBs anytime soon. A fair read for a dollar bin find.
