Best feature: an article in the closing pages titled, "Animation and Science Fiction" by Maurice Horn. Feature tale: I could have never read this and wouldn't be missing anything about Peter Quill. He has doubts about his powers and his role as a cosmic defender, that he's earned his title as Star-Lord. We learn that his mother was brutally slain by aliens, differing from his Marvel Cinematic Origins. Otherwise, it's revealed he and his sentient ship have some kind of close bond, but all they believe they are is corrupted by a presence from beyond. The backup feature has nice Ernie Colon art, following bro Gene's pencils on the main story. The Marvel Color boasted on the cover was probably great for its time. It wasn't bad in 2020 either.
