An able start to the Rebirth era of Aquaman. It does a great job of balancing between keeping longtime fans interested while also being explanatory to new readers. Comics often fall into the trap of being extremely repetitive in an attempt to re-explain characters and origins, but this issue avoids that. The quality of the art varies between great and okay because two pencilers worked on it. But even at its worst, the art isn't bad. An above average comic.
