So three issues in and I'm still not sure if using Kobik, a sentient cosmic cube, was the right mechanism for bending Captain America's will to Hydra. [See Captain America: Sam Wilson #7 and Captain America: Steve Rogers #2] I wonder if it was the easier route to take, not necessarily the most direct. Couldn't Red Skull use his own powers to accomplish this? Are his abilities not sharpened enough yet? Are there too many players to account for in his plans? And how is Captain America making decisions on his own without Kobik's knowledge? I'll sit tight for now but I have more questions like these.
