If you read the letters page, you'll find out that this is a filler issue. It sort of reads like a Saturday morning cartoon of yesteryear too. Not really much going on, except for some tension being created between Wolvie and Cyclops, and Jean is unsure about whether she wants to stay in the X-Men. Oh, and this Warhawk guy is a bit of an enigma as well.
The issue starts of slow with some more downtime for the X-men. Things quickly change and the X-men end up fighting the Danger Room as it is controlled by Warhawk. There's some great interaction between the X-Men and especially Wolverine gets some character development. At the end it is heavily hinted that this is just the start of some greater story arc. Overall a good issue, it really makes you want to find out who was behind the attack. The art is great and the guest artist does a great job of keeping with the style of Cockrum.
