This issue starts of with another 7th sense premonition. I like them because they add suspense to the comic right from the start, but it also makes the comic predictable. There is some downtime for Carol as the plot develops on the SHIELD Helicarrier. I like the character development here. The writing does a good job of getting the reader to relate to Carol. The supporting cast also gets more development, I'm starting to warm up to them. At the end of the issue the action picks up again as Ms. Marvel is attacked, which was predictable of course. Art in the issue is great as usual. We also get to see Mystique's powers in action for the first time. We slowly get to know more about her, it's a good way of introducing the character.
