By all accounts, this could have been a great addition to the NEW 52, the 2010s version of Firestorm. As the issues go on from here, it may indeed become that, but this issue alone is full of forced plot devices. There is seemingly needless violence almost from the start intended to convey "These are the bad guys of the story". And the hostilities between Ronnie and Jason just seem to appear out of nowhere. They literally just share a couple of lines with each other and then immediately start their argumentative relationship. If the writing gets a little more subtlety, it could be a decent title.

I love that Jason and Ronnie are still arguing and bashing each other just like old times, but i wish that they were more clear with the Firestorm Matrix, but only time will tell what is really going on.
