I will be happy when this 4 issue run is done and we can move on to a better story...hopefully.
Shallow uninteresting characters that are moved through the plot like chess pieces rather than fully developed fictional people makes this a rather lackluster read. Ordway's art and Sook's cover are nice, but wasted on a book that should have been Pre-empted (as the title self labels the book)before it was given the green light by DC, but then it is written by the boss so who's going to gainsay him.
I just can't feel the love for this story arc. Introducing a team of heroes when you're on a short timeline is always rough, and character development here doesn't go any deeper than "I'm the leader of the team, he's the brainy one, that guy's the wisecracker, and the redhead over there has boobs."
