The art is ridiculous, an attempt to look whimsical and unique but instead coming off as uncool. With that said, it's hard to take away from the series' significant contribution to the Batman mythos. Batman being franchised out into different countries, significantly increasing the size of the Bat Family, and developments involving Robin Damian Wayne and Talia al-Ghul. Those deserve a really high grade by themselves, despite the weakness of its presentation.

I never read Batman Inc before but gave it a try. I loved it, the art is awesome & the story interesting. It's so different than the other Batman books. The art has a 'cartoonish' feel to it and when you're fighting in a slaughterhouse the combination gives off a wierd atmosphere. Can't wait for issue #2. Besides any book with "Bat-Cow" rocks. If before the new 52 is just as good I may go back & read it also. Check it out.
