Great start to the story. Has some great writing for the most part despite one or two parts of the dialogue that seem inconsistent with the characters. The art though is brilliant and matches the tone of the comic well. The digital version has an extra story at the end that acts as a prequel to a certain event within the issue. While I wouldn't go as far to say "Must read" it would certainly be worth it for someone with the print version to read their free digital copy.
Not bad, liking the story so far. X-Men seem outnumbered.
Someone might wonder what sort of thing would make Avengers and X-Men fight each other. After all, they are both the good guys. But after reading this issue, I thought "Yup, that would be a good reason for them to fight alright".
The Phoenix force is headed for Earth. So of course the thing to do is for Captain American to show up on X-Island (or whatever they're calling it) and demand that Hope be put into protective custody. Which would leave the X-Men hopeless. Sorry. I'll stop now. Anyway, while Cap is being an idiot, Cyclops has turned full-on villain, to the point that Magneto and Emma Frost are even impressed. It took five writers to write this nonsense?
This is a good issue but could have been so much better. There were a few issues I had with some of the dialogue and quite a bit of inconsistent art. It was no surprise at who started this fight and at the end there looks like a major disadvantage going on.
