Great intro to Animal Man, just not on my top comics list though. Artwork takes a unique style and story should be solid.

My first exposure to New 52's Animal Man title and it is much appreciated since this has become my favorite of all New 52. This issue immediately reels the reader into the story in a way that is extraordinary among comics. The reader really dislikes the villains quickly and really likes the hero quickly, despite his in-story weaknesses. For being the origin story of the best New 52 title this issue gets 10 out of 10.
