Saga has action, humor, and heart. There's also quite a bit of sex. To the point that its inclusion has gotten publisher Image and the book itself into a lot of trouble.
I decided I wanted to get into comics and Saga came highly recommended. I have never gotten into super heroes thus the Marvel/DC world was never really appealing to me. Saga showed me there is really a comic out there for everyone. The characters are fun, engaging, and each have their strengths and flaws. The artwork is fantastic, I was surprised how often I would stop reading and just enjoy the visual experience. Saga is my gateway to a world of comics I never knew existed.
