The "Pack of Obscure Villains" issue! To me, nothing says lack of creative inspiration like borrowing villains from other titles. That was my rule until I read this issue. I really liked this rag-tag group of ne'er-do-wells. Although, in all honesty I did find The Porcupine a little funny looking. All of these nefarious hooligans are working for Count Nefaria, who in my mind is probably most memorable as the villain in X-Men #94. Like I said, I think it's a good issue. This one was NOT written by Stan Lee, but I thought Roy Thomas did very well as his replacement. What I also found funny was this was the 3rd X-Men I have read in a row where the team was sent on vacation, and had that vacation cut short. The others were issues 14 & 19.
