As with many Amalgam publications, I didn't quite fancy the manner in which an overly-large influx of "amalgam" comic book characters are cramped into a single issue. It comes off quite forced and at times, risks the quality of much of the plot and its dialogue. However, like many Amalgam publications, I cannot say Spider-Boy wasn't fun at all. The issue still delivers itself quite well and provides a fun and quite action-packed read for readers, old/new, fan/non-fan, DC/Marvel, alike.
