Everything you want to see from the Riddler and more. He is truly villainous in that arrogant, stylish way that you expect from him. He has always been difficult to portray because he never has seemed too threatening, but this issue compensates for that, like every good Riddler story does, and does it in spades.
This issue is exactly why I'm so confused as to why Chris Nolan opted for Bane in the Dark Knight Rises. An exceptional display of Edward Nigma's cunning, intelligence and narcissism all while telling a tremendous story. AS always, the artwork really jumps off the page (with the exception of one panel that looks like he's floating) and draws you in. The story relates the Riddler's desire for a challenge that will test his own wits and how the absence of Batman is actually counter-productive for him. All in all, the Riddler's story is excellent from start to finish and also highlights the differing opinions on how to proceed when no one is stopping the Villains' from doing whatever they want.
