An able Penguin story, with decent art. Keeping with a recurring theme throughout Villains Month, Penguin is truly villainous, as opposed to having a camp aesthetic. There is a hint of disappointment with the issue mainly because the Penguin I am used to is a little more complex than is presented here, but still an able story.
Another villain that should have been considered for the final installment of the Dark Knight trilogy, Penguin is next up for Villains' Month. A different view of the Penguin than I'm used to, and drawing on recent events in the Batman universe, this issue shows how you can take a worn out character and make them fresh again. A common theme this month has been showing or foreshadowing how each villains' own narcissism is going to get in the way of their ultimate success and Penguin's is showcased here very well. I'm actually getting tired about talking about the artwork in these comic but this one's is a little short of the par the others have set. It's a bit too dark and there are too many shadows which rob some of the art of it's detail.
