Death is For Suckers
Ken Lashley did not improve as an artist since his mid-1990s Excalibur run. Then again, plenty of the New 52 was a haphazard restart of something that did not need restarting. Adam Glass does an OK job of writing, but I dislike the villains and don't find them engaging, especially Regulus, who isn't dead after all. Faceless Joker does show up to be creepy AND super abusive toward Harley. I imagine her arc of emancipation could be told without making Joker so overtly narcissistic in terms of how he belittles her. It was the Joker's prior more subtle abuse that probably rings true in most such toxic relationships and would make for more effective commentary. The one plus: clever idea to use Resurrection Man's DNA to resurrect dead members.
