Surely will be remembered as a modern Batman classic. Capullo's artwork here is superb, as it has been, with few exceptions, throughout the New 52 "Batman" title. Snyder's story picks up at this point in the "Zero Year" arc, and does a great balancing act between respecting previous canon Batman origin story and adding improving elements to it. The tone changes more dark and more film noir in this issue, compared to the "bright, happy Gotham" that has thus far been depicted in "Zero Year". Which you might expect in a story about the Riddler causing a citywide blackout. All in all, this is what I want in a "Batman" issue.
