Synopsis

Grant McKay, former member of The Anarchistic Order of Scientists, has finally done the impossible: he has deciphered Black Science and punched through the barriers of reality. But what lay beyond the veil was not epiphany but chaos. Now Grant and his team are lost, living ghosts shipwrecked on an infinite ocean of alien worlds, barreling through the long-forgotten, ancient, and unimaginable dark realms. The only way is forward. The only question is how far are they willing to go, and how much can they endure, to get home again?

Join writer RICK REMENDER and the superstar art team of MATTEO SCALERA & DEAN WHITE for this face-melting science fiction epic spanning the lifetimes of a cast of dimensional castaways lead by the man that caused it all.

Gnarly! A fast paced story of dimensionauts and their journey back home. With every new contact they make they are greeted with an ever evolving reality. We the readers are brought along for this mind-bending multidimensional travel. The artwork is perfect for the genre. You would be hard pressed to find anything like this style. If by chance you look at the cover art and say it probably isn't for you, I encourage you to give it a shot and read the first volume. Oh, lastly, a disclaimer of sorts. It does contain some adult content, mainly strong language.

Remender opens the series with a bang and fills us in as we go along. His main character is a right git, but still manages to get us to root for him as he plunges headlong into his attempt to save his kids after he puts them in the line of fire. Big ideas well executed and a lot of promise for the future, all beautifully illustrated by Scalera, who has strong storytelling skills.
