Everything you would expect from the outstanding New 52 "Aquaman" title: impressive art and dramatic story. It does get a point knocked off from its grade because, as we are instructed in the issue, it is merely part 1 of a story that will continue in "Futures End: Aquaman and the Others", to be released later in Futures End Month. And that was never advertised. In fact, it kind of goes against the month's advertising these issues as one-shots. Beyond that, the story is decent.
