DeMatteis has a style of his own which, in the right mind set is quite enjoyable. He scripts cartoony dialog and action. His plots are dolled out at a swift rhythm and I feel he is in better form here than in Blue Beetle. But Gibson's pencils are very much not to my taste. I can only describe his style as immature and careless. He's big on flash and small on substance. Having briefly looked through Kirby's take on this character, I feel this book does it a disservice. I want my $0.50 back.
