A decent, apparently minimalist Batman story in the tradition of Batman as the "World's Greatest Detective". You can look at it as a self-contained issue, but knowing writer Scott Snyder (who likes to introduce things quietly and reveal them to be more important later), it's probably not. It doesn't take much to conclude that the developments here will be referenced again some time in the future. This issue itself leaves us with some pretty obvious questions that are going to need answering at some point. I look forward to that.
