It's always great whenever a comic book makes you feel actual emotions. Most of the time, it's just a coolness appeal. But this issue makes you feel a range from suspense to creeped out. I find it a perfect issue to read alone at night, and it affected me more than most horror films would. That makes it really the perfect comic book, so it gets 10 out of 10.
The Batman begins to uncover the secrets of the Court of Owls, and their generations-old conspiracy to control Gotham. This was a good issue for plot-thickening, both in terms of developing the backstory of the Owls and their connection to the Wayne family, and also in terms of developing some of the current post-New-52 Gotham underworld. The actual gimmick of the hidden lairs of the Court was a bit implausible, but made for a fun revelation.
Wow! Where was I when these issues hit stands? Oh yeah, not reading them! This is an amazing story so far,and I'm very anxious to see who the Talon is! Master storytelling, amazing art, this issue is great. On to issue #4!
Court of Owls is an amazing story so far.
