I love virtually any media featuring artificial intelligence so when I saw Jeff Lemire was doing a new comic (a couple years ago) with robots I was all in. Honestly, I was hoping for a more harrowing line though. A psychological thriller set in space. The first ish' starts exactly this way. Tim-21 awakens and is immediately panic-stricken with being alone. He feels desperation, an emotion not usually seen in a robbie. Lemire is always telling a great story but sadly, I became bored after the first arc and I was forced to move on. The watercolors are nothing short of magical. Few artist are capable of this level of work. Geez, all this talk about Descender has me in the mood for Steven Spielberg's flick, A.I. (2001).
