From a fan letter cited in the afterward, it's difficult to describe this book, but it's something one has to experience to understand. Even then, I'm not fully sure I understand it, but I generally loved it. Sometimes it's abstractly weird beyond comprehension, but plenty of time it's weird and quirky in such an enjoyable way in that some of the concepts are so cool (I suspect informed by Morrison's run, though I haven't read much of that, so take this with a grain of salt). Our in-world surrogate is a super cute EMT who discovers the world of Doom Patrol while discovering herself. We don't get typical intros to most of the older characters, as they're just sort of there doing there things, but that almost doesn't matter. Excited for V2!
