It's a decent enough issue, nothing spectacular, but ample. I didn't find the previous issue too interesting, so this was a bit of a step in the right direction. My biggest gripe is with the death of Thunderbird. Firstly, was it really necessary to kill off someone this soon into the New Team's run? Why not kill someone else? Sunfire, what's he done lately, maybe we could kill that guy? Why kill anyone at all? Maybe just write them off as "disappeared", so they can be re-introduced later on down the road? And, really, does it have to be a minority character? Name 5 Native American superheroes. I don't think I can. So, kill off the one that exists. Yup, makes sense to me.
There is lots of good action in this issue. The story remains simple, but the characters and interactions are great and keep the story interesting.
