Not a good issue for either character. Batman is totally out of character, even if it falls in "The Dark Knight" continuity. Spawn is partially in character, and even that is generous. The art is good, but it feels like Todd McFarlane didn't put in his best here. This is not Frank Millar's finest hour, and the story really suffers for that. It makes no sense, Batman is a total jerk, and even through all that, it kinda sorta fits in Spawn continuity. If you don't pick this up, you'll be ok.
