A couple of months ago I was perusing the dollar bins at my local comic shop when I stumbled upon this gem. I did a double take as I scanned the contributors on the cover. I kind of embarrassed myself by thinking out loud, "Is this the same guy?!" Coincidentally, I own a children's picture book entitled, "Zen Shorts", written and illustrated by Jon J. Muth. The same style of water colors sucked me in again. I got a kick out of the Cold War/nuclear scare theme, the comradery of the two X-Men, and the hint of a mystery novel. There is even a bit of romance to boot. It all meshes very well. I could easily see a movie or TV series based on this mini-series. What do you say Netflix?
