A great one-shot detailing the sacrifice (as well as redemption) of Norrin Radd and the genesis of the Silver Surfer, Galactus' mightiest herald. The story of merciful slave and insatiable master has always been my favorite. If I'm reading my history correctly, this ish' marked the beginning of the end for the Surfer's exile on Earth. Beautiful cover and timeless interior art of John Byrne. A nice, long love story written by none other than Stan Lee seguing some of his and John Buscema's run of Silver Surfer several years prior. It would be several more years before he would soar in his own series again.
