When I think of Sam Keith, I don't think of anything even remotely mainstream. I know he did Marvel Comics Presents, and had his hand in annuals of Batman and other characters, but like Mike Mignola, I only think of what he did as an independent. My first thoughts are The Maxx. One of the few great things to come out of Image in the 90s. A heady mix of surrealism and psycho-sexual drama. Arguably Sam Keith's greatest achievement.
