Valiant had a very diverse roster of characters. X-O Manowar, Rai, Ninjak, Magnus, and Bloodshot. It wasn't like Marvel or DC, whose characters were very fantastic, god-like and wonderful. If Marvel and DC were prime time, then Valiant was the muddy underbelly. This is by no means a bad thing, and Bloodshot is a prime example of this. I like the start of this series, but there is some stiffness. I think the art style is really to blame, but improves with each new issue.
