This is totally not what I ever expected it to be. I'd read the wikipedia article, talked to friends about it, even had a conversation with my brother on why he is such a sought after character, but nothing could have prepared me for the story I read. Alan Moore's work here is astounding. Gary Leech's artwork acompanies Moore's writing in such a way that it feels very dark, and forboding. Nothing good is going to come of Miracleman's return, and you can feel that in the issue. One of the best.

What an incredible story, taking a cheesy Captain Marvel ripoff from the 50s, and turning him into an amazing, realistic character.
