Welcome, Asgardians, to another might edition to Fan Film Friday! This week, we take a look at none other than the mighty avenger himself, Thor! Now, I can’t promise this will be pretty, but Thor does not hold Mjolnir back when Frost Giants need a good smashing, and neither will I when it comes to fan films! Join me as we cross Bifrost, the rainbow bridge , and venture into the world of the Thor fan film. Onward!!
Let’s take a look at our first piece of magical fan film history. I’ll say this much in good favor of the film: Kudos to who made the costume. They at least tried to stay true to the Kirby rendition of Thor, blue spandex and all. Also, it was good, visually, that they got somebody who was as muscle bound as this fellow was. The good remarks aside, be prepared to meet a Thor that acts very much like the Ultimate Warrior. I was just waiting for him to press the sky. Sit back and enjoy Thor!
OK, now to get that bad taste out of our mouths. This here is actually pretty good. A parody of Usher’s song “More”, this comedy duo proceed to take us through the theatrical version of Thor, and all his awesomeness, all while smashing anything in sight. Let the laughter ensue all around and I’ll see you next week for another edition of Fan Film Friday. For Asgard!!
