Podcast: Episode #25
Oct 16, 2012 by     8 Comments    Posted In: Podcast

SMC PodcastThe Podcast has hit a milestone with it’s 25th episode. We have an extra special, extra long podcast for you today. Kicking it off is the news where Tim Morse, Tom Hoefner, Kelly Bahoric, and Jason Martin discuss Stan Lee canceling appearances and Mark Millar being the consultant for Marvel Comics at 20th Century Fox. The Pull List is, of course, next, where we review Cable #25 and Young Justice #25 (sense a theme?). The Weekly Distraction is last where we all choose a group of characters we would put together to form our best team. Don’t forget about trivia where there is a special treat this week for you, the listener.

  • Comic Book News (11:23) Stan Lee’s pacemaker and Mark Millar’s new job.
  • Review #1 (26:40) Jason’s choice of Cable #25 is first up.
  • Review #2 (37:16) Young Justice #25 from Kelly is next.
  • Weekly Distraction (58:00) The group chooses their super team and explains why they chose who they did.
Cable #25 Young Justice #25

As always, thanks to our producer Matt for mixing the show and making it presentable.

ok, i had forgotten about a couple of them, but i think the triva answer is 18(funny, i thought it would’ve been 25).

Really enjoyed this ‘cast, everyone did a great job…

And I don’t think you can bury Maximum Overdive…it just goes off to the side, waiting…

I was never a FF reader, but I do remember seeing covers with She-Hulk and possibly Spidey. With that being said, I am sure it was a ton more.
In honor of the show, I will say 25, though history tells us twoguns is probably correct!

Hopefully no one else gets sick on the show!

If you had to pick your own superhero team, who would be on it?

What did you think or our picks?

  • matt October 18, 2012 at 3:46 pm

Love all the picks, including Kelly’s inclusion of Dean. Which got me to add a certain someone to my team.
I would go with a mix of personal faves…

    Iron Man
    Green Lantern
    Winter Soldier
    and Buffy…

    The picks were fun…mine? Hmm…

Booster Gold (Have to have a time traveller)
Slapstick (Indestructable, inter-demensional traveller w/ an endless pocket of weapons)
Kitty Pryde-she can go through anything! Yay!
Nightmare-to scare the crap out of everyone
Captain Atom (endless possibilities, god-like power)
Splinter (TMNT, will lead these guys)
    Brainiac 13 (super intelligence)

Hey Ninjaq where you at? I’m over here…

I like the picks. They make sense in a team format (certain people chosen for their abilities).
My team will probably just give each other headaches.
Well, Spider-Man is my favorite, so he starts it.

    The Tick
    Hell Boy
    The Fullmetal Alchemist
    Vash the Stampede
    Samurai Jack

It makes no sense…and it doesn’t have to!

  • MattB October 25, 2012 at 11:50 pm

    Invisible Woman
    Captain Atom

I’m sure I’ve got more, but those come to mind.

  • Chip Reece October 27, 2012 at 11:15 pm

Yes! The Tick! I love it. Every team needs a comedian!
